Financial valuation of car park – go or no go decision

Bouwfonds REIM was considering the purchase of a public car park and was looking to ascertain the financial viability of doing so.

At the request of Bouwfonds REIM, Spark drew up a prognosis of the parking revenues for the first ten years. Use was made of the NEN 2443, 2012¹ guideline for multi-storey and off street car parks to assess if the building was fit for use. Based on Spark’s valuation of the building, Bouwfonds REIM was able to successfully acquire the car park.
